the very best & silliest part of my day

is when i cut the top off a snack size bag of reese's pieces and dump them in my mouth. there is something about it that makes janice and i giggle like little girls.

--portishead "it could be sweet"

But the thoughts we try to deny
Take a toll upon our lives
We struggle on in pride
Tangled up in single minds

mahpod poetry

i didn't use my whole ipod, just a 700 song playlist (there are 13,000 songs on my ipod)

(after reading this, i have decided my ipod is somewhat suicidal, or perhaps, ready to run away from home

put your mp3 player on shuffle and write down the first line of the first 20 songs.
post the poem that results.
the first line is the title

I had no choice but to hear you

Ten fingers we each have
Your whole life is empty
I wish I would have met you
You found a sweater on the ocean floor
Brainstorm take me away from the norm
Fill these spaces up with days
Kiss me goodbye, pushing out before I sleep
Past the road to your house
In the heat of the night, in the heat of the day
Any time, any day, you can hear the people say
Know me broken by my master
Will I wake up
Scarlet beautiful, with your eyes so blue
This is our last goodbye
I’ve been waiting
It seems like years since you held the baby while I wrecked the bedroom
Little sad with everything around me
I saw it written and I saw it say
Cold and frosty morning there’s not a lot to say
Hopelessly drift in the eyes of a ghost again
